ZG875 Westland Sea King HAS.6 fuselage off cuts

Sea King ZG875

The last HAS. Mk6 built, one of a handful of new airframes rather than a conversion of older HAS. MK2 models. Completed 1990, served with 810 and 814 Squadrons. Written off in 1999 on SNS Reina Sofia during a NATO Exercise. The helicopter was tethered to deck for a hot refuel with the autoheading still engaged. The ship changed course causing helicopter to pivot against its tethers and fall over, writing off the airframe. After circa 15 years at Gosport as a spares donor and training aid, the airframe was scrapped with the cockpit saved.

These off cuts are approx 10x3cm and from around the cockpit area.

Comes with certificate of authenticity and standard imperfections from operations and tear down. Chosen at random.
